The Business Unit
The Global Platform Organization (GPO) co-creates products and solutions and consults to Wolters Kluwer businesses units around the globe. Our business unit partners serve professionals in the Legal, Tax, Heath, Finance and Compliance sectors. The GPO’s wide and growing array of solutions and services support business units in building and expanding their online product portfolios. The GPO provides global leverage of industry and customer insight, driving technology capabilities for local product innovation.
The Position
The Senior UX Researcher, first and foremost, is part of a function in market and customer research. Among numerous techniques this researcher will employ contextual inquiry to surface problems experienced in the markets we serve. This person ensures their matrixed team is highly engaged in UX research on behalf of and in collaboration and consultation with the Wolters Kluwer businesses units we serve. The contributor will create a culture of cooperation within the larger GPO and Wolters Kluwer communities while educating the company on the value and strategic importance of deeply understanding the problems our external customers have within the markets they operate in.
The contributor is also responsible for the delegation of responsibilities appropriately to their team while still maintaining the ultimate responsibility and accountability for the execution of each of those responsibilities. In their leadership capacity, they also mentor, encourage, foster, and support intelligent innovation and risk taking to create and deliver business models that improve the customer interaction and experiences with products and services our Wolters Kluwer businesses offer to their markets.
Reporting to the VP of UX Research, the researcher along with their team will utilize contextual inquiry as well as cultural probes, user and stakeholder Interviews and heuristic evaluation, usability testing, card sorting, A/B Test, guerrilla testing and other techniques. These techniques will help to provide strategic and actionable insights on our current and future customers and the problems they struggle with. Ideally, we and our business unit colleagues learn about the potential value we can create when solving customer problems will pay for when we solve their problems.
