100% Remote. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. Trv is looking for a passionate and energetic Senior Server Developer who is excited about pushing the limits of server technology. As a Senior Server Developer, you will have the opportunity to participate in every aspect of the software development lifecycle, including estimation, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications developed for our clients.

A Senior Server Developer helps to guide and mentor other members of the team by taking an active role in code reviews, development discussions, and leadership. You will have the opportunity to help invent the next generation of  Insurtech!


* Working independently, as well as participating as a key player of a team creating and developing ideas and tools from scratch

* Maintaining and designing complex server code

* Communicating clearly and effectively with all parts of the business

* Bringing together different perspectives and opinions to come to a common approach

* Understanding of quality attributes and tradeoffs

* Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code

* Interacting with, designing, and implementing RESTful APIs




You have/are:


* Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills for experienced technical, junior technical, and non-technical audiences

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, and a minimum 7+ years of professional experience

* Understanding of Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, REST Web Services, and API's

* Extensive experience in C#, LINQ, ASP.NET MVC/Web API (or a similar stack)

* Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases

* Deep understanding of / experience with refactoring and architecture

* Ability to work on front-end web portals (or willingness to learn)

* Working experience with unit / automated tests

* Mastery of Git and GitHub

* Desire to share experience and knowledge with developers of all skill levels

* Experience working with globally dispersed teams

* REST-ful API design experience

* Data warehouse / ETL design and implementation

* Continuous integration, specifically using services such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or VSTS

* Contributions to open-source projects

* Exposure to Node.js and React
