Reporting into our Swiss based Controllership organization, we have an opening out our Irish Center of Expertise Controllership team. The role will be part of a dynamic group of highly skilled professionals having the responsibility of 30+ entities within a very fast paced and challenging business environment. Beyond your operational responsibilities, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership to continuously enhance our processes through innovation, as well as providing a high level of support to our Business Partners.
Manage select key close closing processes (preparing & documenting entries, preparing
related balance sheet accounts reconciliations) in both local and US GAAP books;
Complete the monthly flux analysis of the results (Balance Sheet and Income Statement)
related to key close processes;
Responsible for compliance of SOX controls for the predefined areas;
Manage Audit inquiries (US GAAP, Local GAAP and Tax) related to key close processes;
Partner with General Business Operations (GBO) Partners to understand planned monthly
activities and forecasting and anticipate forecast adjustments;
Assist in managing the Controllership budget: review of SOW, engagement letters and
invoices, creation of purchase requisitions, preparation of actual vs. budget analysis.
Maintenance and reconciliation of local GAAP ledgers;
Assist in collecting & reviewing data for local statutory accounts process and VAT return process and in case of external audits;
Complete statistical surveys and record retention obligations;
Assist in updating workflow and reporting tools.
3+ years in accounting experience (VAT or statutory accounts experience is a plus);
Experience working in a fast paced multinational environment for a publically traded
Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS;
Experience in working in a multi-ledger environment;
Experience in SOX compliance programs and other country equivalents;
Experience in major ERP and associated applications and interfaces;
Results oriented, team player, hands-on, decisive and fast worker;
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills;
Be a catalyst for change and able to respond quickly to various requests;
English spoken and writing is required, another European language is a plus.
