NOTE:  This is an IMMEDIATE Need... Engagement Starting in Next 10 Days.

We seek a VERY effective Agile / Scrum team coach who can help take an existing collection of product development engineering teams (10 in total) currently using a "pseudo" agile approach to building new product features and transform them into a high reliability, high velocity, high discipline product engineering community.

You will work remotely the majority of the time, but critical early learning workshops and on-site relationship building rotations will also be required in three regions:  New York, San Francisco and Eastern Europe.

You must have a previous track record of success effectively coaching remote product engineering teams.


The focus of Agile coaching will be to help teams acquire improving mastery of both Scrum and other Agile practices with particular focus on the following:
 
Focus Area 1:  Product & Release Planning Practices (Alignment & Reliability) 
Teaching and Coaching Teams to effectively and consistently apply the following Product Management best practices: 
 
•Effectively Normalize the approach for shaping, defining & managing product backlogs 
  • Visioning 
  • Road-Mapping 
  • Release Planning 
  • Sprint Planning 
  • User Story Writing 
 
• Definition of “done” is agreed and shared by both Product Owners & Eng Teams. 
• Backlogs are transparent and accessible to all stakeholders:  Explicit – no hidden work…. “backlogs are complete” 

  
Focus Area 2: Collaboration, Development, and Process Practices (Performance) 

Teaching and Fostering Teams to effectively apply the following practices and behaviors: 
 
•Effectively Fulfilling the Roles & Responsibilities of Scrum Roles 
•Running the Scrum Process 
•Writing Effective User Stories 
•Doing Effective Release Planning 
•Effective Grooming of Product Backlogs 
•Conducting Effective Planning and Backlog Prioritization Sessions 
•Effectively Tracking and Reporting Progress 
•Conducting Effective Sprint Milestone/Release Reviews 
•Holding Effective Daily Stand-up Meetings 
•Facilitating Effective Sprint Improvement Retrospectives
