  • *Job summary**
Serve as a catalyst for large-scale transformation the open source way. Red Hat's Finance team is looking for an Agile Transformation Engagement Lead to join our diverse team in the Washington metropolitan area. In this role, you will serve as one of the business process analysts and agile coaches leading agile transformations while coaching and nurturing teams undergoing transformation initiatives. You will be not only an agile program manager, but also a catalyst of these transformations. You should feel comfortable working with C-level executives to support their business goals, and equally so running workshops and putting together strategic proposals that support transformation initiatives. As an Agile Transformation Engagement Lead, you will support everything from initiating long-term transformation programs, through running value stream assessments, to developing team best practices and taking them to scale. Throughout the life cycle of the project, you will work with current contract leadership from kickoff to closeout to determine scope details and monitor progress of projects to ensure that they conforms to customer expectations and contractual agreements. We don't expect you to know everything on day one. Experience with our technology platform and methodology is not required, but learning quickly from how our customers use Red Hat's technology is a key responsibility.
  • *Primary job responsibilities**
You should be prepared to lead a team to begin their agile transformation by doing the following:

+ Coach teams (agile coaches, developers, testers) to embrace agile and identify and resolve impediments; track continuous improvement

+ Partner with customers to create the foundations of the program in order to lead them through an agile transformation

+ Coach and enable delivery teams on modern application design and development practices

+ Support teams in creating product visions and roadmaps, writing effective user stories, and prioritizing backlogs based on business value in Jira

+ Apply your understanding of program planning and management, team management, and process management and improvement and your team building skills

+ Apply your understanding of how Red Hat's platform technologies work and are positioned in the market

+ Innovate our current thinking and develop new approaches to change how organizations and teams deliver software and systems

After onboarding and proper training, you should be ready to continue to scale a transformation program by doing the following:

+ Become an agent of change for customer organizations

+ Create solid relationships with customers and partners; build interpersonal relationships with other Red Hat's teams and serve as a trusted adviser to your customer

+ Integrate creative and innovative ways to position a strategic direction

+ Deliver business value through experience as a product designer or product manager or in a professional services role, apply methodologies like design thinking and lean

+ Apply your understanding of the Red Hat's business strategy and economic model and your good business insight and judgement

+ Formulate detailed business cases for how an organization can achieve its business goals by embracing agility

+ Serve as an agile project manager, including product owner support and coaching
  • *Required skills**
+ 5+ years of experience working as a scrum master with a scrum coaching mentality in a 100% agile environment with an organization that ships software offerings

+ Solid written and verbal communication skills; public speaking skills and ability to present in front of customers

+ Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore best possible solutions

+ Ability to lead with imagination, courage, and curiosity

+ Ability to engage with and persuade C-level executives

+ Knowledge of program management processes and experience with revenue-based project reporting

+ Proven ability to understand the technical impact of projects from supportability, scalability, and repeatability aspects, as well as the business impact on both Red Hat and customers in delivering and scoping projects

+ Willingness to travel up to 50-75%

+ Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance is a plus

+ Bachelor's degree or MBA is a plus
