Job Impact and Scope Summary As Amazon Merchandising Specialist on the Publishing Team, you will increase discoverability and conversion for print and digital products available for sale on Amazon through exceptional product merchandising, participation in retail marketing programs, assessing and experimenting with all available Amazon tools, and following metadata best practices. Successful candidates will be inquisitive, creative, and ready to present their ideas and learnings to large groups. You have the drive to use Amazon to help students understand how our products will help them achieve their goal. Responsibilities Report to director of sales and marketing Develop merchandising style guide and ensure consistency across product lines Develop Amazon-specific marketing copy for all products, aligned with brand messaging Develop budget for promotions Compile and deliver product page enhancements, including text, images, and videos Explore, test, and leverage where appropriate all vendor-managed merchandising tools and resources made available by Amazon Detail and monitor Amazon product page and store requirements, capabilities, and opportunities to increase discoverability and conversion Ensure metadata complies with Amazon’s best practices to optimize buyer experience across platforms Comply with all Amazon promotion requirements, including submission deadlines for nominations, and complete and accurate nomination templates Develop and implement strategies for responding to Amazon reviews, both positive and negative; submit tickets to request takedowns when appropriate Monitor announcements about and enhancements to Amazon marketing program Monitor and report on competitor strategies Work from our offices in New York City Requirements Bachelor’s Degree 3+ years of experience in digital marketing or online merchandising Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Apps, particularly Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides Strong visual presentation and communication skills Ability to work effectively as a leader and as a team member Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-dynamic, environment Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities Ability to take direction and managing upward when necessary Background in brand management a plus
