Job Details
The highly visible Revenue Reporting & Analytics team is responsible for both internal and external consolidated reporting metrics related to revenue. The Analyst, Revenue Reporting & Analytics will provide direct assistance compiling internal metrics for upper management as well as external revenue disclosures. The position reports to a Manager, Revenue Reporting & Analytics. This is a full-time, exempt position on Salesforce’s Revenue Recognition team. The Revenue Recognition team is a part of the Controller’s Organization at Salesforce, which is headquartered in San Francisco, CA.

A successful Analyst, Revenue Reporting & Analytics at Salesforce is capable of processing high transaction volume from multiple source systems, is able to consistently apply policies and procedures, is interested in learning from others, and is able to multi-task a variety of high priority tasks while adhering to tight deadlines. A successful candidate must easily adapt to change, work well in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, view each assignment as a learning opportunity and approach the task with the intent to absorb knowledge and information. The position may require overtime, particularly during peak days of close.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
The Analyst, Revenue Reporting & Analytics will work closely with Accounting, Finance & Strategy, SEC Reporting, Investor Relations and other business partners in Indianapolis, San Francisco and other global locations. The primary focus of this position will be to ensure accurate reporting of revenue, unearned revenue and related reporting metrics. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to;

Compile consolidated revenue and unearned revenue monthly, quarterly and year-end metrics;
Assist with disaggregation of revenue by type, cloud and geography;
Identify and suggest opportunities to improve process efficiencies within assigned areas of responsibility;
Prepare and maintain process documentation;
Assist with preparation of internal and external audit requests;
Work on cross-functional projects across multiple Finance teams;
Perform other ad hoc analyses as requested.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting;
1-2 years work experience in accounting or finance;
CPA or progress towards CPA strongly desired;
Keen attention to detail;
Strong MS Excel skills strongly desired;
Familiarity with ASC 606, Revenue From Contracts With Customers;
Understand the SaaS business model;
Experience with Salesforce.com and RevPro a plus;
Ability to self-motivate, adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
Must be a self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills;
General Ledger experience beneficial.
