**Job Purpose**: Perform intermediate level system analysis, definition and design activities often of a complex nature for new software applications. Modify and maintain existing applications.

**Major Responsibilities**:

* Consult with users, analyze requirements and recommend technical design and specifications.
* Develop, test and implement technical solutions.
* Modify and maintain existing applications.
* Prepare technical, operational and user related documentation in support of applications.
* Provide technical support and training to functional users
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Basic Qualifications**:

*  **Education**: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
*  **Work Experience**: Two to four years job related experience.
*  **Certifications**: N/A
*  **Skills**: This job requires working knowledge and skills in application of query language, web development tools, procedural development tools, relational databases, structured programming and understanding of the software development life cycle.

**Qualifications**

**Preferred Qualifications**:

*  **Preferred Education**: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
*  **Preferred Work Experience**: 2 or more years of experience working within an agile team. 2 or more years of experience working with Salesforce or other CRM technologies.
*  **Preferred Certifications**: Salesforce Platform Developer I or other Salesforce certifications
*  **Preferred Skills**:
* Experience and familiarity with these tools or frameworks are preferred::
* Lightning, Angular, React, or general JS experience
* Apex, Java, C# .NET, or Python
* MVC frameworks such as VisualForce or ASP .NET
* git and GitHub or other similar version control tools
* SOQL or any SQL variant
* REST and SOAP API protocols
* Integration tools such as Mulesoft, Zapier, Jitterbit, or Flow
* Experience and familiarity with these best practices or methodologies is preferred:
* Familiarity working in a CI/CD development environment
* Experience with TDD and other software development best practices
* Experience with SCRUM, Kanban, or other agile methodologies
* Understanding of integration design patterns and best practices
* Understanding of software design patterns and best practices

**Additional Information**: The CRM Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and deploying CRM solutions (within the SalesForce.com environment) for Institute organizations. In addition to standard SFDC configuration, the CRM developer will be responsible for developing solutions that may leverage HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and other technologies. The CRM developer will be responsible for the customization and configuration of standard and non-standard components required to meet business requirements in a very high quality and using software development best practices such as TDD, Agile, version control, and CI/CD. The CRM Developer must be able to communicate well with academic and business units who have varying technical abilities, as well as with staff, contractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, have a knack for solving problems, and excited to develop innovative solutions to complex business problems.

The Salesforce team within the OIT EIS department is a new and rapidly growing team that is focused on bringing innovative solutions to tough business challenges across a variety of stakeholders throughout the Institute. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides information technology leadership and support to the Georgia Institute of Technology, working in partnership with academic and business units to meet the unique needs of a leading research university. OIT serves as the primary source of enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunications services in support of students, faculty, staff, and researchers. Services and resources range from operating and maintaining Georgia Tech's leading-edge wired and wireless networks,
which provide Internet and research network connectivity, to protecting the integrity of the Institute’s data and critical administrative systems.

The Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) Directorate is comprised of several key groups working cooperatively together to implement, enhance and support the strategic institute initiatives and projects related to Georgia Tech’s enterprise administrative/business and academic information systems.
