Hello, and welcome to the City-State of DBC! We are a data-driven creative branding agency on a mission to "champion the citizen" —our clients. We do this by being radically autonomous & courageously persistent, stretching our capabilities to push boundaries and actively challenge pre-established beliefs of design, work, and branding to help our citizens stand out.

The modus operandi here is self-rule — you own your choices because these choices are your own — always knowing rules work best when broken. We don't work for hours. We work for better. When the tasks are more challenging, the payoff is more significant — the most exceptional quality to have here is effort.

We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Brand and Product Marketing Coordinator to embed with our Client’s Marketing team in New York.

Our Client is a leading global tech company. Your team will be a cross-functional group dedicated to helping creatives thrive. Starting as a three day/week remote contract, you will work closely with their Brand and Product Marketing Manager, assisting internal teams and agency partners as they build out a global sub-brand and develop products for their stakeholders. You will also work to improve marketing initiatives across existing and new channels including social, web, email and video and work alongside their product team to input into product strategy and education. Ultimately, as an embedded marketing coordinator, you’ll be a key part of this close-knit team as they strive to be the best partners for their industry, globally - setting the foundation for the next five years as they grow and scale their business.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with the Product Marketing Manager to define and develop content and marketing initiatives across all social and web channels.
  • Work with DBC and other external agencies to prepare briefs, provide feedback and review and drive asset creation to support the numerous existing and future franchises across the brand, in line with the existing brand guidelines.
  • Support the product team through monthly product communication to publishers and competitive analysis and audience research, ultimately contributing to the broader product strategy for the client’s stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Content team to ensure editorial and content deadlines are met across social, newsletter and blog channels.

Who You Are:

  • You’re deeply passionate and knowledgeable about pop-culture, music and news.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years experience in a marketing function.
  • You are strategically oriented, always asking “why” before moving forward on any marketing initiative.
  • You are comfortable originating and developing creative content formats.
  • You have no problem orchestrating new processes and adapting to current systems to ensure things run smoothly.
  • You have prior experience or an interest in learning more about product strategy, competitive analysis and audience research.
  • You’re an incredibly hard worker and collaborator —no task is too big or small for you and you enjoy working with a team to find solutions.
