The Red Hat Training team is looking for a Business Development Manager for the Central and Eastern Europe region to join us in Warsaw, Poland. In this role, you will promote training bookings and revenue quotas within a specific territory. You'll be accountable for managing forecasts, providing quotes, closing deals, and tracking data through Salesforce.com (SFDC). You’ll grow existing business relationships and acquire new business while working with colleagues from the Corporate Sales team to grow the business in your specific territory. As a Business Development Manager, you will also have a shared responsibility for working on existing accounts with key account managers and regional service managers in addition to identifying net-new business.


  • Sell training solutions and services within the region using all available promos, specials, and bundles to achieve the highest possible revenue and bookings
  • Identify, define, develop, and implement corporate training plans for key accounts
  • Support existing and new IT transformation projects
  • Upsell courses and certifications to existing customer base
  • Identify and generate new on-site training from both skill assessment leads and existing customer base
  • Actively promote seats in last-minute or at-risk courses to reduce the number of cancelled courses
  • Perform follow-up calls on active training campaigns in the region
  • Serve as a point of contact for the Sales team and its account managers
  • Actively manage training resellers and partners
  • Support the adoption of the Red Hat Academy (RHA) program
  • Promote and sell Red Hat Learning Subscription; identify subscription opportunities in SFDC that don't include training; attempt to add training units to them
  • Develop and refine the training selling best practices
  • Send proposals and quotes of specific solutions to gain new customers and upsell existing accounts
  • Answer sales queries by phone and email and process leads in accordance with Red Hat's service-level agreements (SLAs)

  • 3+ years of experience selling training, professional services, or software solutions; proven record of achievement
  • Understanding of solutions selling methodologies and services-led and project selling
  • Great interpersonal skills; ability to engage and impact management decision makers at any level, including C-level executives
  • Motivated with active approach to generating new business
  • High attention to detail and good organizational skills; ability to remain consistent with processes and daily tasks
  • Ability to work with many sales channels and sales teams
  • Fluent language skills in English and Polish; excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with SFDC is a plus
