The Red Hat IT team is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will administer our BI ecosystem including mutlienvironment reporting tools like Business Objects 4.2, Tableau, Qlik Sense, and SAS VA. You'll be part of Data Management Services team which takes care of end-to-end BI platform services. You will also provide support to the business users in 24/7 model and assist them with issues related to ETL and BI Reporting. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will work in an environment that is influenced by open source values and offerings. We’ll provide you with the opportunity to learn the complete BI ecosystem and contribute to the team's capabilities and deliverables by demonstrating technical competence, personal initiative, creativity, learning, sharing, and teamwork while collaborating with local and remote team members as well as external groups.

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade of self-service Data Visualization and Reporting tools like Tableau, Qlik Sense, QlikView, and Business Objects across the environments on Linux platforms
• Manage data science platform tool like Domino Data Lab
• Manage the applications users, groups, and integration with directory services like LDAP and SSO
• Automate monitoring and server job processes
• Manage and maintain the licensing of the tools
• Manage migration and scheduling of jobs and tasks
• Define and manage backups and restoration of applications
• Assist content developers with performance tuning and best practices
• Experience in taking backups and restoration of Tableau repository
• Respond and resolve customer issues within specified SLA
• Work in shifts in a 24/7 model
• Work with users on issues related to failed reports, dashboards, and report schedules
• Migrate and maintain metadata (code, Business Objects universes and reports, SAS Dashboards) within layered deployments including development, test, stage, and production

• Open to learn new technologies in BI domain quickly with minimum guidance and acceptable to change directions as technology evolves
• 4+ years of experience managing enterprise-wide production applications (e.g. reporting, analytics platforms, OLTP applications, or other similar)
• 2+ years of experience on Tableau Cloud or on-premise enterprise version
• 2+ years of experience on managing BI platforms on Linux environment
• 4+ years of experience in enterprise reporting tools like Business Objects
• Bachelor's degree in IT or business or 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience
• Ability to perform Tableau Server Management (like Clustering, Load Balancing, User Management etc.)
• Exceptional customer engagement skills
• Very process and procedure-focused while still being able to think outside the box
• Very good technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Experience working within IT ticketing systems; experience using ServiceNow is a plus
• Very organized, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a sometimes stressful environment
• Sense of urgency when the situation calls for it
• Exceptional written and verbal language skills in English
• Experience with and passion for promoting change and continuous improvement
