  • *Job summary**
The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for an experienced Change Consultant to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work within the Red Hat Change Management Practice team, an HR team focused on providing change management advisory services and support for projects across Red Hat's corporate functions. You'll report to a team focused on change management, project management, and communications, recognizing the importance of all elements in the successful delivery of projects. You will partner closely with associates from HR, IT, finance, and other corporate functions, advising on change elements of multiple and varying projects. Ideally, you should be able to assess a project and business scenario for change impacts, identify stakeholders and build a stakeholder management plan, develop a change plan for the duration of the project, identify organizational and behavioral dependencies and risks, and consult on more tactical communications and learning plans to support. As a Chance Consultant, you should be familiar with various organizational initiatives, including process, system, and organizational changes. You'll have responsibility for an extended portfolio of customers and projects and you'll need to work closely with project managers and project sponsors. You will also need to have the ability to guide the development of the HR team's change management approach and framework. You should be flexible to respond to various shifts that any project may require, while also having great communication and excellent relationship skills.
  • *Primary job responsibilities**
+ Assess and analyze the project and organization to assess the level of organizational change, which could include technological, process, operating model, or organizational elements

+ Design and develop comprehensive change management plans, which could include elements of stakeholder management, business readiness, communications, learning, or adoption

+ Create and manage stakeholder management plans adapted to the project and organization

+ Mentor and advise project and organizational members on best practices of change and project management

+ Design and conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and share findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner

+ Identify and design measures to track adoption, application, and proficiency of individual changes

+ Identify resistance and performance gaps and develop and implement corrective actions

+ Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into overall project plans

+ Identify, create, and advise on change sustainment plans and elements that can reinforce a lasting change adoption

+ Assess and develop communications and learning requirements and approaches when a project requires changes in behavior or processes to support a successful delivery
  • *Required skills**
+ 4+ years of applied organizational change, process improvement, or operating model experience;

+ prior consulting experience in either an external or internal setting, delivering projects and navigating customer-facing environments

+ Record of mentoring or teaching others to use organizational change methodologies

+ Ability to apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the people-sided change caused by projects and change efforts

+ Ability to develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of changes and the groups impacted

+ Ability to identify potential people-side risks and issues, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address these concerns

+ Ability to develop an actionable and targeted change management plan, including communications, sponsor plan, stakeholder management, learning, and adoption plan

+ Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

+ Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple assignments

+ Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement

+ Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity

+ Demonstrated ability to employ research and analytical thinking skills

+ Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

The following are considered a plus:

+ Experience consulting or managing initiatives in organizational design changes or workforce transitions

+ Master's degree in industrial or organizational (I/O) psychology, business administration, business leadership and culture, etc.

+ Prosci, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), Change Management Specialist (CMS), or other change or organizational certifications
