The Channel Manager will be responsible for executing GitHub’s channel strategy on a local regional level. This role reports to to the VP, global channel and alliances and will work in close partnership with the Japan country manager to drive significant growth through the use of multiple indirect routes to market with key distributors, MSPs and resellers.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and execute regional business plans with key partners.
  • Develop, build and expand regional partnerships that create ecosystem leverage for GitHub.
  • Identify, qualify, develop and drive regional partnerships with VARs, Distributors, and other channel partners.
  • Manage training and enablement for partners in region.
  • Develop, organize and manage partner seminars and events to drive pipeline
  • Aggressively drive partners to maximize revenue and partnership potential through joint business planning, pipeline creation and co-selling with our enterprise account sellers.
  • Together with Corporate, Field and Product Marketing develop and execute sales channel programs in the field and manage communication across the regional community.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships at the executive level with key partners.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: University Degree.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of Channel Sales leadership experience with large global enterprise and regional partners.
  • Track record to manage large system integrators.
  • Legally authorized to work in Japan.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales channel development and marketing programs which result in revenue generation.
  • Ability to set clear and deliverable goals. Demonstrates tenacity, commitment to deliver and be accountable for results.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and non-verbal), presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, a self-starter, team player, fast learner, detail oriented and conscientious.
