As the first Chief of Staff to Kelly Greenwood, Founder & CEO of Mind Share Partners, you will support her and the nonprofit organization at a pivotal moment in our evolution as we look to grow and scale our impact and services. As a thought partner, strategist, and operator, you will drive key internal and external organizational initiatives and projects in the areas of movement building, development, board/advisory council support, recruiting, strategy, and special projects.
Serving as the CEO’s critical “right hand,” you’ll support her in spending her time and energy on the highest impact activities. You’ll expand organizational capacity and bandwidth by strategizing and implementing structure and processes to increase our collective goals, with a specific focus on fundraising, partnerships, external relations, as well as, internal organizational effectiveness, and recruitment.

- Development/Fundraising: (35%)
- Manage investor relations, including advising on fundraising strategy.
- Support the CEO in cultivating relationships and providing communications support: crafting emails, reports, memos, teeing her up for meetings and conversations, etc.
- Over time, advance designated relationships.
- Create development/fundraising operations, building structure, systems, and processes, including managing weighted pipeline and key metrics.
- Codify development best practices.
- Movement Building + Marketing: (25%)
- Partner with the CEO on partnerships strategy; research, solicit and manage strategic organizational partnerships.
- Develop written communications to external audiences (e.g. emails, presentations, social media posts, etc.).
- Oversee marketing operations by partnering with the Marketing & Communications Lead and CEO to ensure all marketing activities and timelines are on track.
- Act as a proxy for the CEO in certain meetings and settings.
- Leadership Team Support: (10%)
- Support leadership team meeting preparation, including creating agendas, taking minutes, and sending follow-up communications to ensure the next steps are completed.
- Produce quarterly metric reports, generate actionable insights, and propose process and system improvements to ensure all functional areas are driving towards annual goals.
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership team members on organizational strategy, team effectiveness, and culture building.
- Support internal vision setting team as needed. (Note: the internal vision-setting team is a group of cross-functional leaders charged with establishing an evolving organizational viewpoint on workplace mental health to push the movement forward).
- Board and Advisory Council Support: (10%)
- Support board and advisory council engagement strategy, materials creation, logistics, meeting preparation, relationship management, and communications – keeping board members and the advisory council informed, connected, and able to execute their governance responsibilities effectively.
- Help to identify and recruit new board and advisory council members as needed.
- Recruiting: (10%)
- As a proxy for the CEO, serve as a hiring manager for movement building and marketing roles, partnering with the People Team Lead to drive the hiring process and bring on talented individuals onto the team.
- Cultivate informational conversations with high-potential talent, to build an informal talent pipeline for future Mind Share Partners opportunities.
- Direct Support of CEO and Special Projects: (10%)
- Facilitate and manage the CEO’s flow of information and calendar appointments; ensure that her top priorities are tracked daily and she is prepared for meetings, travel, activities, and events.
- Develop systems and utilize tools that support the CEO’s organizational effectiveness and personal and professional routines.
- Drive other special projects and organizational initiatives as needed
- 6-10 years of professional experience overall.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nonprofit development/fundraising. Past experience with high-net-worth individuals and corporate sponsors preferred.

Enjoys playing a behind-the-scenes role, but when the situation calls for it, has the ability to play an external role. Takes pride in having impeccable attention to detail, simplifying the complex, connecting dots, and ensuring everyone is aligned and moving in the same direction. Attuned to others' needs, and works to ensure those needs are met. Provides wise counsel with a track record of building trust and using discretion.
- Entrepreneurial: A self-starter and equally comfortable with collaboration and autonomy. Able to run with projects independently with minimal oversight. Thrives in a growing environment, contributes creative ideas, and takes feedback in stride.
- Relationship Builder & People-Oriented: Skilled at building relationships with senior leaders/executives, as well as cultivating partnerships. Ability to influence and motivate others towards a strategy or goal. Enjoys working with people, has sky-high EQ, and gravitas to work with corporate and non-profit partners.
- Seasoned Cross-Functional Project Manager: Responsive, organized, and detail-oriented project manager. Ability to influence and support others in the organization, both senior and junior, to prioritize work and stay on top of goals.
- Exceptional Written and Verbal Communicator: Excellent writer with exceptional ability to proofread and edit content so that it is ready for public release. A clear, professional communicator, good listener, and ability to match the CEO’s writing style.
- Strong Strategic + Analytical Thinker: Ability to set a strategic vision and direction for an initiative or project. Capacity to take multiple pieces of data, identify trends, risks and opportunities and make strategic recommendations for a path forward.
- Learning-Minded: Ability to observe and learn company culture quickly. Willing to test, ask questions, and test again to continually improve services and results across all areas.
- Team Player: Willing to pitch in at all levels of the organization, not self-focused, unafraid to dig into the nitty-gritty work.

- This role is a full-time role that can be based anywhere in the United States; we have a nationally distributed team.
- The CEO works on Pacific Time, so orientation and flexibility to support her during this time zone as needed.
- Almost all of Mind Share’s current work is done remotely via video due to the pandemic. Occasional travel (likely once or twice per quarter) may be required in the future, when safe and appropriate.
- This role will report to Kelly Greenwood, Founder & CEO. The role will work with all members of the Mind Share Partners team.

Mind Share Partners offers competitive pay, commensurate with your skills and experience. The compensation range for this role is $85-110K.
