Secfix automates security compliance for SMBs in Europe. We help companies get and stay compliant with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, TISAX, and SOC 2 in weeks rather than months.

Companies nowadays need these standards to win enterprise deals. However, it is a manual, error-prone and tedious process that takes at least 1 year. Our platform integrates with the companies’ tech stack (like GCP, AWS, Azure, Google Workspaces, Jira, Gitlab, etc.), extracts the data needed for compliance, and creates a checklist to become and remain certified. In August 2021 we raised a Pre-Seed round from top angel investors (including the first Flixbus investors Heinz Raufer, Rheinhard Wick, and Torsten Sturm) to build our Minimal Certifiable Product (MCP). About the role:

We're looking for a hungry and hard-working Chief of Staff to help us solve a wide variety of problems across the business and build culture. Any problem that our founding team faces becomes your problem. You'll get first-hand exposure to what it means to build and scale a startup.

 

Preferred experience and behaviours 

  • You take pride in delivering great outcomes.

  • You love speed. You have 4+ years of work experience in a fast-paced startup environment, scale-up, consultancy, VC, or complex larger technology organisation, ideally within an operational or people growth capacity. 

  • Past founder experience or close collaboration with founders is highly advantageous. 

  • You have experience in working and improving remote collaboration in the team.

  • You're passionate: you take pride in your work and how it can impact the mission we’re on. 

  • You are reliable & smart. You take pride in getting things done on time and have a clear, concise communication style. Using pragmatism, you help the founding team to make better decisions.

  • You’re a passionate entrepreneur with the ability to be hacky where needed to keep momentum. 

  • You are data-driven, analytical and have strong attention to detail.

  • You love automation, baking it into process wherever possible. Experience with Zapier is advantageous.

  • We believe in and appreciate radical candour, it forces us to be better!

  • You are a natural project manager. You can drive the future of the company with a growth mindset and creative pragmatism

  • You are creative and curious about new technologies and advancements.

  • You need to be able to work or learn fast to work with many modern tools like Zapier, Loom, Gather, Notion, Slack, etc. Knowledge of coding is a plus!

 

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll wear multiple hats as a generalist, supporting the founders with day-to-day operations and leading impactful projects from hiring, people ops, business development, marketing, etc.

  • You’ll be Head of Remote: We are a 100% remote company, which means we have to be creative in building a great culture. You’ll help build and maintain our remote culture and support handbooks and processes. We love events so helping to organise virtual events, on-site and in cool locations. Gitlab is our inspiration.

  • You’ll help design our recruitment operations and processes in collaboration with the founders.

  • Coordinating with the designers and the technology team, you’ll help to deliver new features on our product roadmap

  • Work with the founders to influence design of the sales process and automation processes with Zapier, Linkedin Navigator, Apollo and new tools.

  • You’ll take ownership of ad-hoc projects such as financial modelling, KPI planning, event organisation, compliance, creating fundraising decks, etc.

  • You’ll play an interim owner role for different areas of the business, helping understand who we need to bring to take those areas forward.

  • Working with different business units, you'll find new ways to implement solutions to save time or cut costs. This includes the design and constant optimisation of internal structures and processes

Logistics: Remote UK-based role. The team is distributed across Germany and Europe.
