Promote sharing and adoption of our cloud platform technologies, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Automation, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Application Runtimes. The Red Hat Public Sector Sales team is looking for a Sales Specialist to join us in McLean, VA. In this role, you will work with our largest enterprise accounts to enable customers to define, develop, and deploy their technology modernization strategies. You'll build strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders. As a Sales Specialist, you will endorse our Cloud Platform solutions, including technologies like Red Hat OpenShift (built on Kubernetes), Red Hat Ansible Automation, Red Hat storage technologies, and our modern application services, while leading customers down a path of cultural and technology transformation.
- *Primary job responsibilities**
+ Work with the Public Sector Sales team to plan the emerging technologies strategy within a set of defined accounts
+ Guide the customer from their initial interest in agile transformation through the adoption of Red Hat's cloud platform technologies, which will provide the technology foundation for improvement
+ Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts to create long-term partnerships
+ Ensure that Red Hat's cloud platform solutions become the first choice for our strategic customers
+ 3+ years of experience in a solutions sales or agile transformation consulting role
+ 2+ years of experience focused on modern application delivery frameworks and platforms like Kubernetes and Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, Apache Kafka, Mulesoft, Jenkins, Apache Spark, MongoDB, etc.
+ Background in consultative customer engagement with a consulting or technology company or organization
+ Technical experience with enterprise middleware and container technologies
+ Understanding and experience with agile methodologies and organizational and IT transformation
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executives at large companies
+ Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment
+ Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
+ Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills
