Community Manager

REMOTE

Woodstock, New York, United States

Part-time

Description

Kris Carr’s team is looking for a part-time Community Manager to support our wellness mission by coordinating and overseeing our online community groups and facilitating conversation and relationship amongst our audience as a whole. The manager is responsible for the growth, vibrancy, engagement and health of our communities and the environment of those spaces.

You have wellness coaching experience and know-how to positively serve, while managing the expectations of groups of online coaching clients. You are driven to help and encourage people, and have experience managing the dynamic needs of online communities with thousands of members. You establish a community culture by developing and maintaining community guidelines and policies, creating and moderating content, and dealing with issues swiftly. Your tasks include advocating for and with members, being a general representative of our brand, and facilitating communication and relationship-building between our members.

You look at all aspects of the communities, how they relate to each other and the brand. You consider how we’ve onboarded members, their experience once using a product or in a group, and all the ways they communicate their needs with us and to others.

You also have management and oversight experience: you can schedule and direct a team of wellness coaches, track praise and feature improvement suggestions, run team meetings, and lead retention strategy. You effectively gather testimonials and customer ideas for improvements across all channels, and lead the way on implementing changes throughout our communities and program content.

You are able to track and exceed key performance indicator metrics, including retention rates, engagement rates, response rates, and new member participation. You are an intense listener, and locate and resolve gaps in the product and content through community discussion and exit surveys. Creating reports and action plans is in your skillset.

You are a team player with a positive, can-do attitude; an ace communicator who understands the needs of a modern media company. You create confidence for the clients and the wellness team.

Wellness is your passion and you’re up-to-date on the latest trends in holistic living. If you have a strong knowledge of plant-based cooking and nutrition, that’s a bonus!

You’re super organized and detail oriented, and know how to be successful while working remotely. You’re comfortable using technical programs, including Google Business Suite, Facebook group administration, and project management software. Working in a tight-knit, fast-paced, creative team is music to your ears and you’re always ready to switch gears for the greater good of the brand and its audience.

Lastly, you’ve got a hungry, curious and nimble mind. You’re excited to learn new things, to expand your toolbox and your horizon.
