The Red Hat Content team is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will join a team that helps our global prospects and customers solve complicated IT and business problems in cooperation with the product and corporate marketing teams. You will serve as a content strategist, cooperating directly with marketers to plan, write, and edit digital marketing content for our website, Working alongside your team associates, you will advocate for a consistent voice across all of Red Hat’s marketing while continuously learning about content marketing, digital marketing, translation and localization strategy, branding, community building, and open source technologies. Your priorities will be to simplify and amplify the Red Hat voice, to engage IT prospects positively along their entire Red Hat experience, to connect Red Hat content contributors, and to build awareness of the importance of quality writing and communication at Red Hat.

  • Partner with multiple marketing teams to plan for and write engaging marketing content
  • Conduct content audits, A/B testing, and create content optimization plans with stakeholders and cross-functional scrum teams based on specific conversion goals
  • Collaborate with data analysts, SEO, and on-site search experts and with user experience (UX) teams to identify clear goals for marketing content
  • Measure the effectiveness of your projects against defined goals and larger marketing team goals
  • Consult with the marketing and content team associates to monitor content performance and suggest improvements
  • Connect with content contributors across Red Hat to create consistent experiences for prospects and customers
  • Apply your unique skills and insights to passion projects that can make Red Hat better
  • Be an advocate for the Red Hat brand and voice
  • Be a continual student of your craft and share your insights and ideas with others across the company

  • 4+ years of relevant experience as a website writer or a content strategist
  • Experience with the Associated Press (AP) style guide
  • Great attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to understand and simplify complex information
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Drupal, Eloqua, Marketo, (SFDC), QlikView, BrightEdge, ClickTale, or similar systems and tools
  • Passion for website content and a high regard for an exceptional user experience
  • Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative work environment
  • Ability to cope with multiple deadlines, manage time effectively, establish priorities, and communicate expectations to stakeholders
  • Effective and persuasive communication skills
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, demanding environment
  • Global experience gained outside North America and multilingualism are a plus
