  • *Job summary**
The Red Hat Customer Engagement and Experience (CEE) team is looking for a Content Strategist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive strategy that defines content deliverables to support key business objectives and review high-level development scoping information, determining initial resource requirements in the process. You will play a crucial role in turning the documentation of Red Hat's offerings into a competitive differentiator. As a Content Strategist, you will work with the functional program, content services, and customer experience teams to ensure that content meets the needs of all internal stakeholders and, most importantly, provides an outstanding customer experience.
  • *Primary job responsibilities**
+ Lead people and projects in an open way that inspires confidence; demonstrate negotiation, leadership, and persuasive skills

+ Review high-level development scoping information and determine initial resource requirements to support initiatives

+ Develop, gain agreement on, and get approval for plans to achieve the quality standards and guide and support successful implementation of content plans and initiatives

+ Lead or participate in special initiatives and change efforts for the Customer Content Services team

+ Assess the audience for your program deliverables and presentations and communicate clearly, concisely, confidently, and effectively in written and verbal communication

+ Demonstrate complex problem-solving skills in resolving cross-functional issues within the program and documentation teams

+ Manage the content strategy for releases

+ Develop, publish, and get approval for a content strategy plan of record from stakeholders and the documentation team associates

+ Define recommendations on content standards, needed improvements, and content gaps Prioritize customer-related bugs and feedback from customer-facing stakeholders for continuous improvement efforts

+ Understand the effect of content decisions and strategy, not just on the Customer Content Services team, but also on other teams across Red Hat, like the Support Delivery team

+ Curate content for display on the offering page of the Red Hat website for each offering release

+ Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, provide content services approvals to program management teams, report status, and negotiate changes to deliverables and schedules; communicate and get buy-ins for the content plan to all relevant stakeholders

+ Work with the support product leads to establish a content readiness for new offering releases and present content highlights and challenges during quarterly service reviews and program meetings
  • *Required skills**
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field

+ 5+ years of experience working with enterprise software documentation, either as a technical writer, information architect, or a content strategist

+ Familiarity with structured, topic-based authoring, information architecture

+ Experience working with diverse sets of stakeholders to solve complex problems

+ Ability to persuade people irrespective of their job title

+ Familiarity with Red Hat's portfolio of offerings is a plus

+ Experience working in the enterprise software industry, including an understanding of the customer life cycle and knowledge of different content development and publishing methodologies, tools, and defect-tracking systems
