We are seeking friendly customer support agents to join us at a pivotal moment in our company’s evolution. Nugg is California’s largest online marketplace for cannabis delivery, having helped over 250,000 people order from hundreds of dispensaries, but now we’re taking over the delivery experience ourselves.

This position is remote and requires a minimum time commitment of 30 hours per week (4-5 days/week between 11:00am and 11:00pm). Evening and weekend availability mandatory. Our entire team is remote, but we have an office in Venice that you’re free to work at as much as you like. This is an independent contractor position to start.


starts at $15/hr, with bi-annual raises based on performance.


  • Conduct conversations via text, phone, live-chat, and email to company standards and brand tone

  • Provide expert, science-backed cannabis knowledge to Nugg Club customers including recommendations of product

  • Verify accounts of new users

  • Maintain privacy compliance when advising customers and patients or handling their personal data

  • Navigate customers through technical issues, while making these issues known to leadership and engineering

  • Provide solutions to customer issues regarding delivery and product that align with standard operations procedure

  • Learn and maintain an understanding of local and state regulation regarding cannabis delivery

  • Stay up to date with the latest cannabis-related research studies and findings, and integrate this new knowledge into how we help customers


  • 2+ Years of customer service experience, phone service preferred

  • Expert Cannabis knowledge; you have complete knowledge on such topics as 1) the science of cannabis 2) different consumption methods, manufacturing processes, and the pros and cons of each 3) how medical cannabis is best used for different symptoms and ailments while being capable of articulating this knowledge in ways that make it easy for customers to digest and practically apply to their cannabis experience

  • Strong attention to grammatical detail

  • Ability to coach while maintaining trust and culture

  • Deescalation experience

  • 60+ WPM

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to work at a computer for 6+hour shifts
