The Red Hat Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is looking for a Data and Analytics Leader to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will manage a dedicated team of innovative data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists in a fast-moving technology space, guiding them through the delivery of actionable insights to our internal business partners. You will also participate in team planning activities and lead team projects to enhance our data-oriented culture. As a Data and Analytics Leader, you will also help translate our course of action and goals to the team while supporting the career development of associates reporting to you. Working in a fun and engaging workplace, you will partner and collaborate with other managers across the company to deliver the best possible results.

  • Partner with senior leaders of Red Hat’s internal business teams to deliver valuable insights from data and improve their business processes
  • Foster alignment between strategic business objectives and analytics enablement through the EDA resources and assets
  • Serve as an advocate of Red Hat’s data-driven culture
  • Effectively contribute to the strategic planning initiatives within the EDA team
  • Identify opportunities for mentoring and training to improve your team’s skills
  • Serve as a people manager for 10+ associates with the capacity to grow responsibility over time
  • Build and retain a great team while overseeing the career development and coaching of associates

  • 10+ years of experience delivering high quality business intelligence and analytics outputs
  • Significant experience within a business domain, such as sales, marketing, finance, etc. both globally and regionally
  • Understanding of data warehousing fundamentals, analytical modeling, and current data technologies
  • Understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from both an operational and analytical point of view
  • Ability to learn new technologies, understand technical requirements, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Practical experience working with agile methodologies in a software engineering capacity
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to present to customers, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work on your own or with geographically distributed and agile teams
  • Ability to make complex decisions and lead teams to agreement
  • Proven ability to discreetly handle personnel issues
  • Proven record of accurate scoping and assessment of business and technical requirements with an ability to balance priorities and direct team members accordingly, leading to fulfillment and delivery of communicated goals, projects, and technical roadmaps
