Job DetailsData Science and Machine Learning - Technical Lead
The CSG Data Science Solutions team at Salesforce builds internal data-driven products that enables how we drive success for our customers. The team is made up of data scientists, data engineers, business analysts and product managers who are dedicated to building solutions that deliver personalized recommendations and help scale how Salesforce delivers customer success.
We are looking for an outstanding technical lead that will drive the architecture for the next generation of data science and machine learning algorithms. You will architect and lead the efforts towards building the AI engines that power the data science solutions and products that the team will deliver. You will play a key role in defining the future roadmap of products that the team creates and work with a diverse team that shares a passion for leveraging technology to build deep, personalized solutions.
In this role, you will:
+ Have a strong technical vision for the team and technology leadership skills
+ Develop machine learning pipeline/solutions to solve unique business critical problems with one of the largest and most interesting B2B datasets
+ Drive the machine learning projects from formulation, design, development and deployment to production
+ Be a thought leader around data science within the team and across Salesforce
+ Interface and demonstrate these solutions to different business user groups
+ Provide direction and mentorship for other team members by being a hands-on leader
Experience & Qualifications
+ Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering etc.)
+ Advanced fluency in machine learning algorithms for classification, regression (linear & non-linear models), clustering, density estimation etc.
+ Advanced fluency in ML libraries like scikit-learn, XGBoost, Tensorflow, Keras, PyData libraries like pandas, numpy, scipy, statsmodels and Jupyter notebooks.
+ Advanced fluency in SQL (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redshift)
+ Experience working with large data sets and distributed computing (Spark/MPP/Hadoop/Hive) is a plus.
+ Demonstrated experience leading engineering and development of large scale data/data science centered products
+ Extensive development experience in at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.)
+ Project management skills, including the ability to scope, deliver and deploy predictive modeling solutions in production
+ Comfortable working in a dynamic, research-oriented group with several ongoing concurrent projects
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
+ Salesforce experience is a huge plus but not required
