We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Design Manager to help guide and solve complex experience challenges across our enterprise cloud products with one of our pivotal teams in Mountain View.

In this role you will become extremely familiar across the suite of Atlassian products and understand the various security and users management mechanisms our products use today that align with industry standards. You'll be asked to formulate opinions, and work with your design team to develop models and deliver a comprehensive strategy for integrating these systems across Atlassian’s suite of products.

In this exciting role, you’ll lead a high-performing team of designers. You will be deeply involved in the entire design process from helping define vision, process and decisions, through to interaction design, user research and usability testing, and pixel-perfect quality assurance - ultimately it’s about creating an amazing user experience for our customers!

You’ll also be the primary contact for design questions as you help your team go deep on the product to get the work done, whist ensuring product design is always as awesome and high quality as it can be, and have a constant vision for where your product team is going in the future.

More about you:

We're expecting you to bring 6+ years of hands-on professional experience as a UX Designer with rock-solid understanding of the user-centered design process, and a further 2+ years of experience leading and managing a design team. You enjoy leading people, but have the urge to get your hands back into the design from time to time. You're a strong communicator who listens carefully and communicates clearly, striving for simplicity on the far side of complexity with a record of shipping simple and beautiful products.

We'd love for you to have:

• Substantial experience working across the end-to-end design process, with a particular strength in Information Architecture, UX, service design and UI. You have a passion and strong knack for thinking through the entire customer experience.
• Foundational research knowledge. You understand how to define what user research needs to be done (and you're willing to get scrappy enough to execute on some yourself). You have confident understanding around implementing research findings.
• Awesome communication and influencing skills. You're comfortable working closely with designers, developers and product managers, and know how to work in a team environment to deliver on customer and business value.
