DevOps Engineer (Postgres)
 
Department of Technology - DevOps Location Remote
 
Your Footprint:
We’re looking for our engineers to be self-starting, and proactive; they are expected to work collaboratively, with minimal supervision, to ensure our systems are scalable, available, and secure. As a DevOps Engineer at Aledade you are responsible for building, maintaining, and improving our AWS infrastructure. We work together with other engineering teams including app, data architecture, and ETL to build new CI/CD pipelines and improve existing ones, provide tools that help automate engineering workflows, monitor systems for health and availability, and ensure our systems are secure and HIPAA compliant. 
 
 
What We Value:
 
The ideal candidate will have:
Extensive experience with AWS.
Experience deploying highly available Postgresql databases in RDS including setting up and administering replication.
Expert understanding of Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code tools (Terraform and Ansible preferred).
A deep understanding of building systems that adhere to a compliance framework such as HIPAA.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
3+ years experience building systems on AWS
2+ years experience deploying, scaling, and administering Postgresql
3+ years experience with Terraform and Ansible or other IaC and CaC tools
Some experience or familiarity with deploying services to Kubernetes
Experience building CI/CD pipelines in Bamboo or other CI/CD tools
 
 
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building and managing secrets management systems such as Hashicorp Vault
Experience with data engineering and ETL systems
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
