At Yembo, we are bringing a digital shopping experience to all home services (moving, insurance, painting, etc.). We are using software and computer vision based artificial intelligence to eliminate the super analog process - waiting for a trained estimator to visit your home to count furniture or measure your floors and walls. 

The home services as a whole are worth several hundreds of billions and Yembo is building fundamental technology that will drive how consumers and businesses interact for these home services. We strongly believe we are going to make a verb out of Yembo - when any home service needs to be estimated, you just "Yembo it".  Today, our software is used by leading providers in the relocation services industry, and we are on our way to put together a category-defining product for property insurance. You will be employee no < 30 and this role is foundational to the future success of the company as we scale. 

We are looking for a SaaS expert who will be a trusted partner and advisor to the CEO and executive team on all things Finance related - from implementing finance rigor and process to building our projections to giving insight into how a “SaaS business” is performing, and how to strategically drive more value. You have been part of a similar team that has scaled a Pre-Seed/Series A company from $2M+ in ARR to >$10M in ARR. As Yembo's first Finance hire, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and build the Finance function from the ground up. • Build and maintain the SaaS dashboard with relevant KPIs (The CEO already has a framework in place - you will take over responsibility, build on top of it, ensure data accuracy and put together a more streamlined process as we scale). 
• Build and maintain detailed financial models - from headcount, to growth rates, to retention rates. 
• Provide strategic finance advice to our CEO based on SaaS KPIs, budgets, forecasts on how well the business is growing, how we benchmark with other SaaS peers, how/where to invest. Connect analytical findings to broader business/ industry understanding, drawing on past experience and pattern recognition. 
• Attend board meetings (may lead portions).
• Rework our current financial stack using technology alongside implementing the right processes based on technology - from revenue recognition to accounting to reporting.
• Work hand-in-hand with the accounting team to ensure accounting follows best practices. Oversee the implementation of accounting standards if necessary.
• Perform monthly variance analysis focused on actuals vs budgets vs constantly evolving forecasts.
• Partner with CEO and finance to develop, deliver and manage budgets.

• 5+ years experience working in FP&A and/or strategic finance for technology companies in a startup (Seed, Series A, B, C)
• You have a deep understanding of SaaS metrics (e.g. magic number, NRR, etc) and SaaS accounting processes.
• Highly organized and obsessed with attention to detail
• Great written and verbal communication
• Automation mindset - you like creating scalable systems and automating routine processes across finance and accounting workflows.
