Position Title: Director of Marketing
Classification: Exempt; Full-time
Work Location: Remote
Title of Supervisor: Vice President of Operations

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our busy, growing company needs a forward-thinking individual to work on the day-to-day marketing objectives of the company. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing a marketing plan and calendar in collaboration with sales and other stakeholders within the company. This position will also serve as the lead for company events and serve as a key member of the CIO's leadership team.

POSITION OUTCOME
Most Important Service or Result Expected from this Position:

  • Develop organizational procedures and systems for FUEL Marketing
  • Develop an omnichannel marketing strategic plan and calendar
  • Oversee enrollmentFUEL's website and provide strategic direction for a website overhaul in year one
  • Responsible for conference booths and the whole conference UX at all conferences attended by FUEL
  • Responsible for the fulfillment process, working with our fulfillment partner, and keeping inventory of FUEL materials
  • Responsible for marketing new solutions
  • Responsible for our Brainstorming Kit and Conference in a Box projects
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the results of Marketing and Sales initiatives
  • Provide superior customer service, externally and internally
  • Represent FUEL in a professional manner at all times
  • Uphold the mission of enrollmentFUEL

REQUIRED SKILLS, TRAITS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:

  1. Marketing and CRM initiatives including, but not limited to, marketing campaigns, events, and operations related tasks
  2. Omnichannel communications and be well versed in print, email, website, digital, and emerging tools and technologies
  3. CRM integration; HubSpot experience a plus
  4. A firm understanding of SEO and SEM
  5. Influencer marketing and social media with detailed knowledge of LinkedIn, specifically
  6. Basic sales procedures
  7. Producing large scale publications
  8. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary
  9. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
  10. Project management phases, techniques, and tools
  11. Initiate
  12. Prepare: definition, scope, work plans, resources
  13. Execute and Control: deliverables, Q/A, transition planning
  14. Close: completion and assessment

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience, including successfully managing marketing campaigns
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Displays a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Previous experience in higher education is preferred but not required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Position Summary: 

  1. Write and manage a marketing plan for enrollmentFUEL
  2. Manage omnichannel marketing efforts
  3. Plan strategically for the marketing of new products and services
  4. Manage event and conference planning in conjunction with sales and operations
  5. Oversee monthly blog and Boost, including writing and editing
  6. Responsible for social media marketing and leading initiatives on social media
  7. Manage various publications related to FUEL marketing
  8. Oversee the website and development of new pages. Oversight of website updating in year one.
  9. Lead planning and/or implementation of projects. May participate in the design and/or testing phases to include proofing, design, copywriting.
  10. Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management
  11. Manage FUEL direct mail and pricing forecasts. Manage costs to approved budget.
  12. Project management for Brainstorming Kit, Conference in a Box, and annual client gift
  13. Participate in outreach functions on an as-needed basis
  14. Promote Octane ideaSTORMS or regional meetings, as needed
  15. Work effectively with marketing contractors
  16. Support for individual sales and marketing needs including, but not limited to, RFPs, letters, executive briefs, and PowerPoint presentations
  17. Participate in all preflight reviews of FUEL materials
  18. Provide contact creation/strategy for HubSpot with Director of Marketing Operations
  19. Responsible for sales and paddlewheel initiatives to include development of new content along with Director of Marketing Operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Visual and auditory acuity with speaking and hearing ability sufficient for headset/phone usage and conversations
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for working on a computer
  • Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds or more, on occasion
  • Ability to travel to various work functions out of state
