• *Job summary**

The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) Digital Solution Delivery team is looking for a Director of open hybrid cloud architecture to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will serve as a multidisciplinary next-generation business technologist, working on guiding the next iteration of the open hybrid cloud. You will work with our team and across Red Hat to develop and carry out a comprehensive roadmap from datacenter to databases, from automation to applications, and finally to the realization of business value based on the open hybrid cloud. This is an opportunity to join us and use your deep engineering skills and expertise with one or more public cloud providers, open source container solutions, and application development best practices. This position is right for you, if you have experience in engineering, strategy, software and business, and public and private cloud as well as an understanding of the affect that the open hybrid cloud has on digital business. As a Director of open hybrid cloud architecture, you should be ready to work with us to shape and define the next iteration of the open hybrid cloud to support Red Hat's business operations.

• *Primary job responsibilities**

+ Be responsible for developing, defining, and improving upon the open hybrid cloud strategy and roadmap and the cloud framework, policies, and procedures to deliver, as well as for establishing best practices

+ Define an on-going analysis of the latest capabilities across public cloud providers and produce recommendations to technical roadmaps

+ Convince domain architects across the information technology (IT) industry to adopt open hybrid cloud technologies and best practices

+ Lead cultural changes for the areas currently not ready for the open hybrid cloud adoption

• *Required skills**

+ 15+ years of experience in infrastructure, software development, and consulting in an enterprise context

+ Practical experience with one or more public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

+ Practical experience with open source hybrid cloud platforms like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Red Hat OpenStack Platform

+ Experience defining and maintaining business and technical strategies and roadmaps

+ Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to focus on discussions and guide decisions from technical to the C-level

+ Experience with project and program implementations

+ Demonstrated ability to guide associates across large enterprise contexts for strategy and adoption of platforms and approaches

The following skills are considered a plus:

+ Record of being an established thought leader in the next-generation technologies

+ Red Hat certifications

+ AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure certifications

+ Proven record of leading multiple discipline architecture practices in a large enterprise
