The Team

Our Product Experience team focuses on our customers and their business needs. We contribute from the concept all the way to the building of world-class product experiences by partnering with Product Managers, Program Managers, Software Engineers and other cross-functional teams. Together, we are a team of craftspeople who aim to make the complex look easy. We employ insights, pixels, and words to solve big problems and make delightful experiences.

This Position

We’re looking for a Director of Product Design to lead the overarching design vision for three key areas: next-gen incubation products, platform-wide experiences and tools, and support experiences for customers and developers. You’ll be a manager and a mentor to a team of designers and work across the business to craft exceptional experiences. You'll champion forward-thinking, practical, needle-moving designs for all platforms, while also getting your hands dirty, leading workshops, and pushing pixels to inspire your team.

This position reports to the VP, Product Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product management, engineering, user research, technical writers, and key customers (and sales and support orgs) to define a metrics-informed design vision for your products.
  • Partner with user research on cross functional workshops and design sprints that achieve breakthrough ideas.
  • Advocate for delightful, end-to-end solutions that meet company milestones
  • Shape, champion and evolve the design process with your teams
  • Mentor and shape the culture for a semi-distributed team of US based designers
  • Contribute to the larger design team culture

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of designing consumer, enterprise and/or mobile user experiences
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing and mentoring individual contributor designers
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a design-related field (or comparable work experience).
  • An online portfolio or work samples showcasing your extensive experience leading teams to design large scale B2C and B2B products (add website to system and/or upload work samples when applying)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with lean UX, rapid customer innovation and iterative design
  • Experience facilitating design thinking workshops with cross functional teams to frame complex problem areas and generate game-changing innovation opportunities
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to drive design decisions for B2B and/or B2C products
  • Experience collaborating with teams across different geographic locations to build and deploy solutions
