  • *Job summary**
The Red Hat Technology Partner Program team is looking for a Director to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will serve as a leader, implementing and growing a new business development function, guiding the proactive, targeted ecosystem development with priority partners and market segments, and working closely with other teams and functions across the organization. Red Hat's product strategy is based on the vision of an open hybrid cloud platform, enabling any application in any environment on any cloud, and relies on a vibrant ecosystem of certified offerings and services from technology partners available to enterprise customers. As a Director at Red Hat, you will manage Red Hat's Technology Partner Program team that offers partners the expertise, tools, and certification offerings they need to successfully participate in the commercial ecosystem.
  • *Primary job responsibilities**
+ Be responsible for guiding, coordinating, and supporting partner recruiting, engagement, and development activities across numerous corporate and regional business development and sales teams

+ Build and grow a team of technical business development professionals, managing partner relationships with select priority partners and building the ecosystem strategy for key market segments

+ Manage the recruiting, onboarding, support, and promotion of priority partners managed by the Technology Partner Program team

+ Participate in defining the requirements and roadmaps for partner offerings for certification and joint go-to-market strategies

+ Participate in defining the marketing positioning, promotion, and business development plans with priority partners for their certified offerings

+ Lead the development and continuous update of Red Hat's view of priority market segments, most relevant partner offerings, and competitive analysis and its importance to Red Hat

+ Manage the partner priority and coverage process with all involved Red Hat teams for priority market segments

+ Lead a cross-functional collaboration on defining and carrying out of the end-to-end partner journey for proactive, high-touch partner recruitment, onboarding, and promotion

+ Enable and coach virtual teams, supporting ecosystem development in the priority market segments

+ Track and report partner engagement and progress
  • *Required skills**
+ 10+ years of experience managing partners and partner programs for large information technology (IT) companies

+ Experience defining and implementing structured partner journeys, combining business, technical, and support requirements

+ Experience working with independent software vendors (ISVs) and value-added partner types

+ Deep architectural understanding of the computing platform market, software development life cycle, and cloud and container technologies

+ Solid knowledge of and experience with open source and open source business models

+ Demonstrated experience working in collaborative environments with global and regional sales, services, marketing, and product teams

+ Highly collaborative and team-focused

+ Solid implementation skills with a high attention to detail to ensure operational efficiency and reporting

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, marketing, or technology field is required; an advanced degree in business administration or marketing field of study is a plus
