The North American MenEngage Network (NAMEN), Inc. is a US/Canada regional network of organizations and individuals addressing men’s violence and working with men and boys to achieve gender equality, end violence, and promote healthy communities in North America. Our ambition is to provide educational and networking opportunities for our members, via programs such as symposiums, webinars and online meetings, resource sharing, and local and regional meetings. Namen also participates in various policy advocacy efforts that support national (in the U.S. and Canada) and global efforts to advance gender equality and the human rights of all people with an emphasis on the rights of women and non-binary people. NAMEN is committed to approaching our work in an intersectional way that recognizes how oppression can be layered and nuanced as people hold a multitude of identities. In our work, NAMEN prioritizes and centers those who are most impacted by violence. Read more about NAMEN at the website here https://namen.menengage.org/

As a new 501c3 non-profit organization, we operate as a network of members with a board drawn from the general membership responsible for decision-making, communications, and the management of collective activities. This will be the first Executive Director for NAMEN, providing a unique opportunity to help create and build NAMEN’s infrastructure and sustainability from ground level. The initial period is through December 30, 2021, with potential continuation funding possible.

Long term they will work to expand NAMEN’s staffing and programming capacity.
