Frontend Designer or Project Manager

Below are two of the the positions we tend to hire for more regularly: frontend designers and project managers (if you’re wanting to apply for a developer position, please use the JavaScript Developer application). Frontend Designer

Our frontend designers have stellar design skills and design portfolios to back that up. They are comfortable designing a visual language for a website and then translating that language into solid, responsive frontend code. They care about the little details when it comes to typography, interactions, animations, user experience, and layout, and they design and present initial concepts, writing some level of the frontend code.

Experience and fluency in the latest web/design tools are required:

• Sketch
• Illustrator
• Photoshop

Being comfortable with code is preferred. Thinking and delivering with modular principles will also be expected. You will be expected to work in our frontend build process that includes tools like: Sass, Github, Handlebars, NodeJSON, and GruntGulpbonus if you have experience with animation/prototyping tools (Principle, Framer, etc.) and a CodePen Account. As a Frontend Designer, youll also be expected to share your learnings on our blog.

Project Manager

Our project managers are experienced in running software projects. We strive for a balance between managing logistics and managing expectations, recognizing that its the people that drive a projects success. The web is a unique medium, and our project managers understand that and can manage a project with flexibility, always seeking a better process.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of different clients and their projects
• Prepare budget reports across projects
• Facilitate engaging discovery and kickoff meetings
• Proactively manage client relationships
• Collaborate with internal teams to focus on adding value
• Share your learnings on our blog

Requirements:

• Consistent track record as a digital project manager
• Excellent communication and team-management skills
• Enjoys collaborating with others
• Enjoys working in client services
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (eg: Scrum, Lean)

We also value the ability for our project managers to contribute in other meaningful ways in addition to project managementtechnical, design, content, etc.
