Full-Stack Engineer

Linaro is looking for a full-stack engineer to be part of the Linaro Systems Software team. This is a remote engineering position and you will be working with a team distributed throughout the world. The Linaro Systems Software team is responsible for development of the open-source continuous integration tools we use to bring value to our internal teams and member companies. Many of these tools originated in Linaro and are now used throughout the computing industry for embedded device automation and testing. We’re currently looking to enhance our reporting solutions, especially targeting the Linux kernel development process (and community).

Key Responsibilities

• Development of SQUAD - Linaro CI reporting tool
• Development of LAVA - Linaro device automation and validation architecture
• Enablement of new devices
• Implement new features (such as support for docker containers)
• Development and maintenance of Linaro Test Definitions

Personal Skills
Required Skills and Experience

• Strong python background with experience in web frameworks like django or flask
• Experience developing web front ends with JavaScript frameworks
  like Angular (https://angular.io/) or React (https://reactjs.org/)
• Familiarity with features and limitations of YAML and JSON markups
• Linux shell scripting skills (including at least bash, dash, sh)
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally three to four times a year.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to be productive in a remote position as part of a globally distributed team

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience with container technologies (docker, LXC)
• Experience with development/prototyping boards
• Experience with Android SDK and devices
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Comfortable with working on open source projects, and having code reviewed in public
• Experience with git-scm
• University engineering or computer science degree or equivalent experience.
