We're looking for a Full-stack Software Engineer (with a preference towards front end) to join our existing development team.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of software development industry experience working with JavaScript
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Experience working in a remote software engineering team

Preferred qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field
  • Experience working with Node.js, React, Next.js, Heroku and AWS
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages over time

Being a Software Engineer at Foro involves:

Ideal candidate
  • Full stack engineer (preference towards front end) with remote working experience
  • Exceptional English communication skills
  • Worked extensively with JavaScript
  • Comfortable working remotely and understanding of the pros and cons of a distributed team
  • Able to overlap the majority of your working day with Central European Time (CET) working hours
  • Highly autonomous, self-motivated, and curious
  • Not afraid to set big objectives for yourself and maintain accountability to meet them
  • Detail oriented
  • Passionate about continuous learning
  • Can tailor technical explanations to suit the listener
  • Able to travel 1-2 times per year to Europe (Covid permitting)

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
  • Drive technical projects through to completion
  • Contribute to PR reviews
