We're looking for a Full-stack Software Engineer (with a preference towards front end) to join our existing development team.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of software development industry experience working with JavaScript
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
- Experience working in a remote software engineering team
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field
- Experience working with Node.js, React, Next.js, Heroku and AWS
- Interest and ability to learn other coding languages over time
About the job
Being a Software Engineer at Foro involves:
- Coding
- Taking part in the software development lifecycle including initial planning, designing, building, and delivery of robust software
- Communicating daily with you team members
- Keeping on top of agile processes, the team dynamic, and velocity
- Contributing to product planning meetings
- Working in a small, close-knit team
Ideal candidate
- Full stack engineer (preference towards front end) with remote working experience
- Exceptional English communication skills
- Worked extensively with JavaScript
- Comfortable working remotely and understanding of the pros and cons of a distributed team
- Able to overlap the majority of your working day with Central European Time (CET) working hours
- Highly autonomous, self-motivated, and curious
- Not afraid to set big objectives for yourself and maintain accountability to meet them
- Detail oriented
- Passionate about continuous learning
- Can tailor technical explanations to suit the listener
- Able to travel 1-2 times per year to Europe (Covid permitting)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Drive technical projects through to completion
- Contribute to PR reviews
