The Recount is hiring an experienced frontend software engineer to to help build the future of news consumption. As one of the first full-time engineers on the team, you’ll have the opportunity to own the entire development lifecycle of our web product and help shape the engineering best-practices and culture of our growing team. You will work closely with designers, engineers and editors to create delightful consumer experiences that push the boundaries of video consumption on the web.
Who you are:
- You care about shipping high quality, performant, and maintainable code AND creating delightful user experiences
- You have strong experience writing client-side web code using React, Vue, Ember or similar modern JS web framework.
- You have experience building server-side applications with NodeJS, Ruby, Python or similar.
- You want to work in a product-driven startup environment and are thoughtful about when to move fast and when to do things right
