Role Description
Our client is a startup disrupting the insurance quoting business.Their application is built in Golang on the backend using a Postgres database and React with a sprinkling of Angular on the frontend. They built the app as a microservice application with most of the tests already done.
They are looking for a developer who has Golang, React, Postgres, and DevOps experience. They are looking for someone who understand the challenges of the startup world, developers who are flexible and independent.
The scope of what the candidate will be working on is maintain their current application through bug fixes, feature requests, and general improvements. The candidate will be working with limited direct oversight reporting to their CTO and Project Manager.
This is a remote, full-time position with a 40-hours workload per week for Latin America only.
Requirements
- You have more than 2 years working with Go on a regular basis.
- Postgres – You have used postgres in a project or two, or have used some type of SQL in a project and willing to learn Postgres.
- Cloud Experience – We are hosted in GCP and use CircleCI for CI so familiarity with those is helpful.
- DevOps – You have a working knowledge of DevOps principals.
- Culture fit – They have a small diverse team that is spread out on the west coast, you’ll be working with everyone but taking direction from the CTO.
Desirable Qualifications
- Startup Experience – You have been part of a startup and aren’t too jaded from your experience.
- Various SaaS Solutions – This includes CircleCI, monitoring tools, GitHub
