We are looking for an experienced and creative Graphic Designer to develop the Cloud Academy brand while balancing the production of graphic assets that fuel our marketing and sales efforts. As our visual storyteller, you’ll think strategically about our brand, take the lead in developing our creative direction, and produce multi-media design assets to drive business objectives. You will be the visual brand steward, ensuring all touchpoints are consistent and brand guidelines are adhered to across all departments. You’ll help infuse our brand in all of our user touchpoints through visuals, tone, voice, and user experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead design efforts across multi-media activations including but not limited to video, digital advertising, infographics, social media, websites, documents, trade shows, and merchandise
  • Elevate the Cloud Academy brand through sophisticated and elegant design principles that enhance our entire customer experience
  • Help create, maintain, and apply brand standards and guidelines that are clearly documented for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support our content marketing programs by building necessary assets including document layout, infographics, video, website assets, and social media graphics
  • Create beautiful visuals that advance the Cloud Academy brand via typography, photography, videography, color, illustration, and other visual mediums
  • Work alongside our marketing, sales, product, and content teams in a highly iterative and collaborative way
  • Develop creative systems, style guides, and processes necessary to execute our brand strategy and deliver consistent brand experiences both online and offline
  • Work with marketing, product, and other teams to achieve business and brand goals across B2C and B2B users
  • Protect the integrity of the brand, while encouraging creative exploration and risk-taking
  • Collaborate with product design to create a unified end-to-end customer experience

Excellent organizational, communication and relational skills are critical for this role. You will need to work cross-functionally and sell ideas to a variety of leaders across the organization.

 

  • 7+ years of experience in graphic design and creative leadership
  • Strong knowledge of branding concepts like positioning, brand archetypes, brand personality, and brand narrative
  • A strong sense for what makes a good story, and how design impacts storytelling
  • Video production skills are a must
  • Ability to balance strategy and execution and be equally comfortable with both
  • The ability to gracefully receive feedback and rapidly adjust in a fast-paced environment
  • A growth-oriented mindset, both professionally and personally
  • Clear communication with the ability to articulate design concepts internally and cross-functionally
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to self-manage multiple projects with parallel timelines
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro (or similar)
  • Experience in the tech industry or e-learning is a big plus
  • UI Design experience is a big plus
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a refined aesthetic sense, seamless adaptability to a brand's existing visual style, and unyielding attention to detail
