We are seeking for a Head of Business Design to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a unique blend of real-world business experience and theory, someone who likes to blur the lines between strategy and creativity, and who has a passion for bringing new ventures to market.

Our business design process is not about creating an exact business plan or blueprint. Instead our aim is to give the Head of Launch and founding team a foundation to build upon, consisting of:

  1. An opportunity: Identify market gap and unmet user need or desire.

  2. A solution: A credible solution hypothesis on how to address that need.

  3. A go to market approach: Clear differentiating factors and unfair advantage.

As Head of Business Design, you will be teasing out problems, hypothesizing solutions, testing, validating and developing the commercial foundations. This involves rapid experimentation, so we’re looking for individuals who walk the line between business strategy, product/ service/ offering design, and commercial rigour.

Responsibilities

  • Work tightly with a multidisciplinary team to design a new venture and develop a “north star” for the venture launch phase.

  • Explore and analyze markets and trends in the industry, and identify opportunities.

  • Perform competitive analysis and size the existing market.

  • Design, develop and guide quantitative and qualitative research and contextual design investigations to understand customer behaviours, pain points, needs and aspirations.

  • Derive insights from creative synthesis of customer research, market analysis and future visioning.

  • Shape product and business strategy.

  • Develop the economic model and business plan for new ventures.

  • Bring your research to life through personas, customer journeys, insight-opportunity frameworks, system maps, stories and scenarios.

  • Present new concepts to partners and other stakeholders.

Benefits
  • An incredible team of entrepreneurs!

  • Competitive salary based on experience.

  • Generous stock option plan.

  • Ownership of goals and a direct impact to the business.

  • Remote-friendly setup.
