Job Description

We're not your typical HR Department. We are *THE* HR Department for a wide variety of small business clients in a wider variety of industries. 

We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team and implement various human resources programs both internally and for our small business clients.

Our goal is to ensure that all Human Resources operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organizations we serve. Our clients typically have fewer than 49 employees and we serve the entire U.S.

  • Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000 per year based on experience

What You’ll Do:

You're the expert. If you're comfortable working in all areas of HR compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, and talent management let's talk. 

You may be asked to:

  • Conduct HR Audits
  • Review/Update/Create Employee Handbooks & Company policies
  • Ensure continued compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment, training, and benefits laws and regulations
  • Vendor management for employee benefits: medical, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, 401(k), etc.
  • Provide HR guidance to clients for employment-related concerns
  • Develop new hire onboarding strategies (not orientation)
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action)
  • Assist with decisions on compensation, incentive plans, and organization design

Qualifications

What We Look For:

  • The right attitude. Let’s face it; working in HR all day takes a special kind of person.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in HR for a small business 
  • Working knowledge of payroll and benefits administration for employees in multiple states. (Experience with Gusto is a plus!)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
