HaulHub is a rapidly growing Series-B startup that provides much-needed technology to the heavy construction industry—an industry that contributes ~12% GDP and effects nearly everyone. This is a huge opportunity. We're looking for an entrepreneurial and motivated HR Manager to help us revolutionize the industry.

As our HR Manager, you'll lead our efforts and build out programs to ensure HaulHub continues to be an awesome place to work. Whether it's professional development, company communication, onboarding, goal setting and performance management, compliance, or HRIS and HR tools, you'll have a hand in and lead it all. 

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and oversee professional development for all of HaulHub's People Operations and Culture initiatives in accordance with our company values
• Drive company culture forward through strategic initiatives and communication, along with community-building around the company
• Co-Lead the onboarding experience and process, ensuring new HaulHub employees are set for success
• Co-lead the annual setting of ambitious diversity, equity and inclusion goals and design and drive execution of core strategies to achieve them
• Lead the implementation of regular performance management systems and drive execution of any resulting role changes
• Own HR compliance oversight
• Lead our benefits, compensation and total rewards strategy and own its implementation
• Oversee existing PEO service (ADP), develop framework for potential HRIS approach over time
• Train managers on HR tools and processes including 1:1 and quarterly review documentation
• Manage up including Executive management on best practices and compliance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in People Ops within a lean, fast-paced work environment
• At least 1+ years of experience managing and leading a team
• Experience building an HR function in a technology/SaaS startup from the ground up
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred
• Experience with PEO Services
• Strategic thinker who can quickly identify key issues, working with limited/ambiguous data, and evaluate potential solutions
• An ability to easily build trust-based relationships with employees at all levels
• Entrepreneurial mindset – proactive, persistent, collaborative, bias towards action, and a willingness to jump in and help on projects as needed
• Demonstrated leadership skills managing teams in a high-growth environment
• Commitment to coaching, creating opportunities and skill-building of team members
• Passionate about helping to develop our people to become the best team we can be
• Able to balance deadlines and competing priorities, moving with urgency and focus
• Utilize people analytics & people systems to track progress, glean insights and make improvements.
• Expert listening and overall communications skills
