Job Description

We're a fast-paced, growth-focused startup looking for passionate go-getters to join our team! For this role, we're looking for an HR manager who is passionate about an autonomous role, leading our HR team. You'll play a pivotal role in growing our business from day 1 as you'll help develop our HR department, policies, and procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee recruitment: create and post jobs, review applications, communicate with candidates, book and conduct interviews, prepare contracts, etc.
  • Lead recruitment partnerships with schools and other relevant programs
  • Manage our government funding programs (applications, contracts, reports, funding...)
  • Organize and manage employee related information, documents, etc.
  • Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations
  • Build and manage our training platform for onboarding and ongoing training programs
  • Manage and monitor performance-related issues and implement changes that could increase productivity
  • Work towards improving company policies and procedures
  • Lead culture planning activities (team lunches, events, 5 à 7s, etc.)

What You'll Need

  • 3-7 years of experience in HR management or related position
  • 2-3 years of experience in recruitment (a plus)
  • 2-3 years of experience in a project management role (a plus)
  • Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English and French
  • Knowledge and expertise of HR policies and procedures
  • A strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR
  • Ability to take initiative and lead the HR team
  • Excellent organization skills, detail orientation and communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism in communication and handling confidential information
  • Highly skilled at managing and handling multiple projects at once
  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
