Salesforce is looking for an Infrastructure Security Engineer to join its Business Technology Department. As an Infrastructure Security Engineer you will join the team responsible for designing, building and maintaining innovative infrastructure security solutions that support the needs of our Salesforce employees. This includes, but is not limited to: endpoint detection and management solutions, software discovery tools, and scripting.

The candidate will need experience in implementing and supporting secure solutions with keen attention to end user experience. Strong Mac, Linux and Windows experience is required. Our security platform, Tanium, is one of our central tools for clients, servers, and security, with plans to expand. The ideal candidate possesses passion and patience as we transform and scale while standardizing to agile & scrum methodology.

Responsibilities

• Establish close working relationships with Infrastructure Operations, Security, and Project Management

• Daily support of our security platform, Tanium

• Operate as a technical expert on infrastructure projects pertaining to Security and Endpoint Detection Host tools

• Continually analyze and work to improve the quality of services offered by Corporate IT

• Ensure service availability & reliability of all infrastructure services

• Participate in ongoing technology evaluations and keep up with technology trends and industry standards

• Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements

• Help resolve complex IT issues in a Tier 2 capacity

• Train/Mentor subject matters, as appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years of implementation/support of enterprise environments with over 20,000 users

• 4+ years of experience working with Mac, Linux and Windows client environments

• 2+ years of experience working with Windows and Linux servers

• Proficient with endpoint security management and software discovery tools and platforms

• Proficient in scripting languages - Visual Basic, Powershelll, and Bash

• Proficient in administering client and server OS’ - OSX, Windows and Linux

• Experience with Tanium endpoint software, or equivalent EDR solutions

• Experience implementing and supporting security tools

• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate and negotiate with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Understand the workflow of the user community

• Experience managing large-scale cloud infrastructure hosted on multiple OS platforms

• Background in Information Security

• Self-motivator able to take tasks or projects and run with them

• Great oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work well and collaborate with other teams of various skills

• Strong analytical skills coupled with technical creativity and vision

• Experience with Agile methodologies and principles. Preferably Scrum/Kanban

Desired Skills/Experience:

• One or more industry certifications

• Proficiency working with directory services such as Active Directory or LDAP

• Proficiency in Network Virtualization and Security components including working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, IPSec thin/thick/web application architectures
