Job Details

The Insurance Risk Management team is a small team with a global reach responsible for managing Salesforce's global property and liability insurance and corporate risk management programs. This position reports to the Director, Risk Management.

We are looking for a Risk Manager who will assist with overall management of a comprehensive corporate insurance program along with corporate risk management duties with a concentration on risk identification, risk transfer, and risk retention techniques.

The Risk Manager will work closely with the Director of Risk Management to drive key initiatives and strategy to produce innovative ideas, to build infrastructure, policies and procedures that scale as our business grows, and deliver operational excellence.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain primary responsibility for managing the corporate insurance programs, renewal process, and interaction between our brokers and insurers. Serve as risk management contact for insurance brokers and insurance carriers with respect to information requests as well as internal business partners.

+ Prepares specifications for all insurance coverage and evaluates bids, make recommendations as appropriate.

+ Manage day-to-day operations of corporate risk management function including policy administration and certificates of insurance.

+ Manage insurance claims in a timely and effective manner to maximize recoveries.

+ Manage integration of mergers and acquisitions into global insurance programs by evaluating and securing appropriate coverage, providing post acquisition integration support and ongoing claims management.

+ Collaborate and work effectively on cross-functional teams with Finance, Legal, HR, Real Estate, Health & Safety and Corporate Security on various risk management programs and initiatives including development of policies and playbooks.

+ Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to automate business processes including reporting, analysis and dashboards.

+ Commercial contract review and negotiation. Develop and manage insurance negotiation guidelines and contract playbooks.

+ Be the main point of contact from insurance risk management perspective across the company globally.

+ Ability to handle a number of simultaneous projects, demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive project to completion, and be successful in a collaborative environment.

+ Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with insurance brokers and internal stakeholders at various levels within a company.

+ Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. Ability to balance excellent attention to detail with seeing the big picture.

Required Skills

+ Bachelor's degree.

+ 6+ years Corporate Risk Management and/or Insurance-related work experience.

+ Demonstrated strong understanding of insurance contracts and language, underwriting procedures, premium and claims financing techniques, and claims adjustment procedures.

+ Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint. Intermediate/advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data.

+ Contract review and negotiation.

+ Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Communicate effectively with all levels within an organization.

+ Basic accounting, finance and risk financing knowledge.

+ ARM Certification or CPA a plus.

+ Experience with Salesforce a plus.

+ Experience with Risk Management Information Systems a plus.
