IT Engineer in Test Region:Remote/Offsite Employee Location:Remote Employee Employment Duration:Full time Description POSITION SUMMARY: As an IT Engineer in Test I, you will design and develop automated tests, scripts and tools to champion the code quality principles for CyraCom. This is a great opportunity for an entry level Developer or Engineer in Test. As an IT Engineer in Test I, you will: Maintain and update our existing automated test suites. Develop end-to-end software test cases, suites and frameworks to validate specific feature and use cases. Architect a CI process to incorporate automated scripts into our build structure. Thoroughly understand our domain knowledge, allowing you to effectively test individual system components at all levels while simultaneously considering the impact to the aggregate environment. Document, track and resolve defects identified in testing by working collaboratively with the appropriate project team members. Be a subject matter expert for your domain by staying on top of trends and best practices in the world of test automation. Thrive off of a team environment and enjoy working with and supporting Development, Project Managers, Sales, Marketing and Systems. Work well independently and in a fast pace environment. As an IT Engineer in Test I, you must have: Comfort in both PC and Mac environments. Basic knowledge of IT quality assurance governance processes and procedures. Basic knowledge of various types of testing. Excellent verbal, written and graphical communication skills. Minimum Qualifications: 1 year in a Test Engineer role or related development experience. Ideally, you will also have: Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or directly related field. Some experience with Selenium, Protractor, Appium, or similar. Experience in Agile environment. 1+ years using Javascript. What else you can expect: Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Extensive use of a computer and repetitive hand movements in the performance of duties.
