Primary Responsibilities:
Seeking an attorney to join our corporate legal department to work closely with senior attorneys to provide research, advice, and other legal assistance to the company. This person may also may provide counsel to management within the company and coordinate with outside legal counsel.

The ideal candidate will have excellent legal writing skills and people skills; be able to work without oversight; be well organized; work with a sense of urgency; be a team player; have a real sense of ownership over work product; desire to continually learn, grow and develop professionally; be willing to be responsible and accountable; and have a business background or interests and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Typical duties include

• Analyze, summarize, draft and revise complicated legal documents including contracts;
• Making suggestions for alterations of existing legal documents;
• Negotiating with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes; and
• Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization, develop strategies to avoid costly litigation, and reducing potential areas of risk.

Prerequisites:

• Law degree from an accredited school and current state license to practice law;
• 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department;
• Excellent analytical, communication, diplomatic, research and writing skills; and technology background preferred
