Kibana Alerting makes Elasticsearch data actionable

Users ingest many different kinds of data into Elasticsearch and can do amazing things with it once it is there.  Kibana Alerting and Actions takes those capabilities to the next level, allowing users to receive notifications and even take automated action based on any condition in their data they can define.   The feature is currently in beta and we are pushing hard to add many connectors and alert types as we move towards a General Availability release.

Engineering Philosophy

Engineering a highly complex distributed system that is easy to operate via elegantly designed APIs is a non-trivial effort. It requires solid software development skills, and more importantly, a sharp mind and the ability to think like a user. We also care deeply about giving you full ownership of what you’re working on. Responsibilities

• Innovate, lead and contribute to front end, API, and the distributed system itself in the Kibana Alerting, Action, and Task Manager products using JavaScript.
• Collaborate with other development teams, quality engineering team, and documentation team to execute on product work

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years of Javascript experience (ideally including both Node.js and React)
• Experience with one modern MVC style JS Framework
• Experience writing automated tests
• Ability to work in a fast paced start-up environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a phenomenal teammate with strong analytical, problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Operational experience
• Open Source experience
