Nathan James is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our team and be responsible for importing and receiving in our 3PL warehouse 500+ FEUs annually.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be overseeing the coordination of inbound shipments between our freight forwarder and our 3PL warehouse. You will book and proactively monitor in-transit shipments keeping operations appraised with regards to arrival times, delays or transit issues as well as ensuring all documentation is supplied in a timely manner to the freight forwarder.You will ensure that all billing associated with the inbound freight is accurate and reconcile invoice discrepancies to ensure accurate data entry is validated and ready for processing.You will be required to virtually check goods in as they arrive against paperwork to ensure all goods ordered are accounted for.

During training, you’ll be expected to be proactive in your process and learn quickly. Once fully up-to-speed (2-3 months), you will be independently performing and meeting expectations in all areas of responsibilities for the Logistics Specialist role.

ABOUT YOU: 

We’re looking for someone that has a background in transportation with a deep understanding and comprehension of the full range of international freight forwarding services: cargo movement and scheduling, customs brokerage, monitor and control services, cost optimization is required. (4+ years required)

Experience working with 3PLs to handle inbound shipments and receipts is required for this position. Experience with supply chain and transportation concepts such as planning, scheduling, logistics, delivery performance, carrier performance is strongly preferred.

This job will require exceptional communication skills while having the ability to work independently with excellent data-driven problem resolution skills. This means having outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written as one will be required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders constantly.

 

For this role we do require that your normal workday has at least 4 hours overlap with both PST & EST workday without impinging on your personal/family life.
