We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our growing Finance team.  This role can be based remotely with the expectation of attending the office in Reading 2/3 times a month

What you will do:

             Daily bookkeeping, PO matching and bank reconciliation.

· Responsible for the accurate processing of all transactions onto the system to ensure invoices are matched to purchase orders and approved.

· Preparing weekly supplier and expense payments.

· Managing weekly cash reconciliations for all group bank accounts.

· Review expense reports to ensure that correct expenses are being claimed.

· Managing the accounts inbox to ensure that suppliers and employees queries are dealt with in a timely basis.

· Assist with external relationships with Auditors, Banking and Insurance.

· Assist with month end procedures; finalising accruals, foreign exchange translation and reviewing bookkeeper's input.

· Reviewing invoices/monthly expenditure for overheads and ensuring that the costs are allocated to the right period.

· Oversee daily bookkeeping function.

· Review monthly UK VAT filings. SE and Fr VAT knowledge – if aware.

· Oversee the finance inbox queries to ensure that account assistants are replying in a timely manner. Understand key themes of questions from employees and run sessions to assist with employees knowledge on processes.

· Management of Bi-weekly pay runs.

· Maintain monthly Intra-company reconciliations.

We would like you to have

- Experience within managing a seamless high quality month end process.

- Experience of implementing a new ERP system

- Experience with international subsidiaries.

- CIMA/ACCA qualified.

- Industrial experience which involved working through the different aspects of month end and business as usual tasks.

- Knowledge of software: Xero/Dext/Approvalmax/QAD ideal, but not essential
