The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Manager to join our Inside Sales team in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will manage a team of sales associates who guide sales revenue for the region both on their own and as a team. You'll train, develop, evaluate, and coach team members on their ability to interact with potential customers over email and phone and gain an understanding of the business solutions that customers want. As a Manager, you will also establish goals and objectives for the team, assigning tasks and reviewing work frequently.


  • Reach sales targets and performance levels by effectively guiding your team
  • Motivate sales associates to promote Red Hat’s offerings and solutions while ensuring that expected metrics are achieved
  • Plan sales programs to achieve key business objectives
  • Analyze various sales reports to project sales and establish quotas
  • Travel to quarterly business reviews, sales functions, conferences, and team events
  • Participate in and close large sales opportunities with sales representatives while serving as a mentor

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of inside sales experience; basic management experience in a sales environment
  • Demonstrated success in consistently managing a sales team to achieve goals
  • Ability to frequently interact with cross-functional teams, customers, and peer managers
  • Experience coordinating activities for the team while being responsible for results, including costs, methods, and staffing
  • Ability to translate business objectives into clear deliverables and lay out work in a well-planned and organized manner
  • Ability to set stretching objectives and distribute the workload appropriately
  • Understanding of the company vision and mission linked to direct application of methods and plans to accomplish a sales strategy
