Job Description Kelly Services is seeking motivated individuals with outstanding mechanical skills for leading Air Compressor Company in Michigan City IN. Position: Mechanical Precision Assembler Shift: 2nd Shift Pay rate: $14.00 per hour Apply Now: Call Kelly Services at 219-872-1435 Mechanical Assemblers are responsible for assembling critical product and ensuring it is in accordance with company policy. Kelly Services is seeking individuals with a depth of experience in heavy mechanical assembly, including electrical wiring of heavy equipment. Primary Duties for this position: - You would be required to assemble a variety of stationary large mechanical units per work instructions. - Ability to read piping and instrumentation instructions, wiring diagrams, and assembly diagrams - Assemble, frames, couplings on engines/motors and air ends. Separator tanks, mounted or remote cooler packs - Assemble and insulate enclosures and install on machines per work instructions. - You will measure, cut, bend and fit small tubing to machine - Wire machines, terminating wire harnesses or basic wiring per wiring diagram - Terminate wiring for controls, basic panels, fan motors per wiring diagram - Test electrical controls/components on line prior test per work instructions and wiring diagram. - Ability to use calipers, dial indicators, and straight edge. Basic Qualifications - Mechanical assembly ability, ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams/drawings - Proven experience working with electrical components - Ability to operate an overhead crane/hoist/fork truck - Working with pneumatic and hand tools, as well as measuring tools.
