Description

Automation Test Frameworks (ATF) team is currently working on several key initiatives that's aligned with company's LRP to continuously improve the developer productivity and make SDLC process at Salesforce very mature:

Microservices integration Test Framework Modernizing the existing test framework and make it faster and user friendly Enhancing the test framework to promote testing best practices Design and build frameworks for other kind of testing e.g. exploratory testing, chaos testing etc. The developer productivity infrastructure currently runs 30+ million tests, 135,000 hours of compute per day, across ~7000 virtual machines. With a focus on metrics, performance and data analysis, Test Frameworks and Tools is working to improve the developer experience.

As a Software Engineer in the Productivity Cloud in Salesforce, you'll ensure the delivery of a world-class developer experience. You will be responsible for developing the tools and frameworks that the developers and Quality engineers need to deliver high quality products in a timely manner. You will build, enhance, monitor and maintain necessary test automation infrastructure to support this effort.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and enhance test automation frameworks.

Identify and produce faster feedback systems for delivering enterprise grade software

faster

Design and build a standard framework and production like environment for effortless integration testing of any permutation of Monoliths, external partners, Heroku/Shinrai based microservices and SAM enabled microservices

Design and build a scalable platform for creation of a sharable/discoverable test utility library, supporting testing of immutable artifacts and enabling future growth across Core testing

Drive the migration of services to an API first architecture

Identify and produce faster feedback systems for delivering enterprise grade software

Develop new features for test case management and Test result analysis

Required Skills

BS or MS Degree in CS/EE (or related degree) with 3+ years of experience as Software

Developer

In-depth knowledge in java programming language

Desired Skills (NOT REQUIRED)

Deep understanding of any Java test framework (Junit4 and Junit5 )

Experience with Microservices, docker, Kubernetes

Experience using SQL and relational databases

Experience designing and developing automated testing frameworks

Experience with Unix/Linux environments
